Boku Inc., a direct operator billing mobile payments company, has announced a partnership with Deezer, a global music service to bring a new and easier way to subscribe to Deezer’s music streaming service.

This partnership was launched for subscribers on all mobile operators in Germany. Under the global agreement, additional geographies are expected to follow in the coming months. With this partnership, Deezer offers music fans in Germany the ability to subscribe to Deezer’s Premium and Premium+ offer using their mobile phone. Subscribers will then be charged on a recurring monthly basis directly on their mobile phone bill.

Jimmy Heritier, Deezer’s Head of Payment, commented: “We want every user to easily access a world of unlimited music. We are always looking for the best payment solutions for our members. Boku’s direct operator billing will help us to reach more people and will allow seamless transactions on mobile phones.”

“Boku will enable more music lovers to discover the music they love with Deezer,” said James Patmore, Managing Director EMEA for Boku. “Boku is very excited to partner with Deezer, showing once again that direct operator billing is a crucial payment option for premium content.”
